Igiraneza Pacifique

Ms. Igiraneza Pacifique is a passionate Clinical Psychologist. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Therapeutics from the University of Rwanda. She is currently pursuing her second Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at the University of Parma in Italy.

Ms. Pacifique has been working with children and adolescents on addressing neurodevelopmental (neurodivergence) disorders and adults including ex-prisoners presenting a broad range of mental health problems. She particularly enjoys working with young people and has worked with them on different projects. Her research experience and interest lies in this population.

Her professional experience includes internships at Centro TICE in Piacenza, a treatment facility utilizing ABA; the Family Therapy Center in Parma which supports families through family therapy, and the Kigali University Teaching Hospital (CHUK) where they treat young people and adults by using different approaches. These roles have allowed her to refine her skills in clinical practice and contribute to the mental health and well-being of diverse populations with different cultures. Ms. Pacifique’s ABA experiences motivated her to pursue her second Master’s degree. As an evidence based approach, the ability to easily track the client’s outcomes is what she finds interesting

In her practice, Ms. Pacifique integrates ABA with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques. Through these, she is able to empower and help individuals manage and cope with their mental health challenges thereby assisting in gaining autonomy and achieving personal, social and educational goals.

Ms. Pacifique dedication to personal and professional growth, coupled with her innovative approach to clinical psychology, underscores her potential to make a significant impact in the field of mental health and behavioral therapy by breaking the stigma and raising awareness on mental health in the community.
