Emmanuel is a licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with over 12 years of professional experience in mental health, trauma recovery, psychosocial interventions and substance abuse treatment among others. He is a Registered Clinical Psychologist (RCP), licensed to practice by the Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council. He holds both a Master’s degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution and a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rwanda.
Throughout his career, Emmanuel has acquired a wide range of certifications that reflect his commitment to delivering high-quality mental health services. His expertise extends in psychological assessment and treatment, stress management, group analysis, narrative therapy, clinical supervisor and training in psychotraumatology, substance abuse interventions, Trauma-focused Psycho-Social Support (TPSS) and Resource-Oriented Trauma Therapy with Elements of EMDR (ROTATE) techniques. He is an extra-carricula certified professional from institutions in the USA, UK and Germany.
His professional journey includes impactful collaborations with local, international, and governmental organizations. He has contributed to psychosocial interventions for genocide survivors, children, and individuals facing with addiction, while also supporting initiatives focused on tool development, capacity-building, and therapeutic workshop facilitation. His work consistently emphasizes community resilience and trauma-informed care.
Emmanuel believes that healing is most effective when individuals are recognized as experts in their own lived experiences, and are meaningfully supported and empowered to actively shape and engage in their recovery journey. His therapeutic belief is deeply rooted in an eclectic tailored approach to counter clients’ psychological distresses.
