Carole Steinke
Carole is a licensed Psychotherapist working at Solid Minds, where she provides therapy, counseling, and training services for individuals and groups. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Bern in Switzerland, with a major in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology and a minor in Educational Science. Carole obtained her postgraduate professional license as a Psychotherapist under Swiss law after completing four years of clinical work at certified clinics, accompanied by regular on- and off-the-job training. She specializes in cognitive-behavioral and systemic approaches in therapy, with a focus on working with children, youth, and their families.
With over 7 years of experience, Carole has worked in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric clinics and organizations in Switzerland, providing services including individual and group therapies, counseling services for parents and families, and treatments for patients with chronic pain conditions. She also has experience in therapies aimed at improving emotion regulation, social skills, and relaxation techniques. In addition to her work in Switzerland, Carole worked with a specialized organization in South Africa to support adolescents facing ongoing traumatic exposures.
At Solid Minds, Carole works with children and adults who are dealing with a variety of challenges, including symptoms of depression, stress, anxiety, chronic and psychosomatic pain conditions, eating disorders, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders, and other psychiatric symptoms. Therapies and trainings are always structured around the client’s needs and wishes. With a holistic approach, Carole offers to collaborate closely with family members and relevant institutions, such as schools, employers, and social workers.
