Brigitte Mukashema

Brigitte is a professional therapist with 20 years of experience. She holds a bachelor degree in Social Sciences and a Master’s degree in Art of counseling Psychology from Mount Kenya University.  She is trained in a variety of clinical techniques, including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), play therapy and she is Certified Expert in Psych- traumatology.

Brigitte provides life coaching and counseling for individual, couples, family, adult, children and young adolescent. She establishes a warm and multicultural environment that helps her clients to come up with skills and strategies to cope with stress, anxiety, trauma, burnout and other life stressors.

Brigitte has worked with local and international NGOs specifically focused on children, adolescents, and women’s empowerment work as a behavior change facilitator. She has worked in refugee camps to provide emotional support to refugees victims of different types of violence. Brigitte has worked with prisons to help detainees in dealing with different stressors as well as empowering them to live positively with HIV/AIDs. She has also served as a client care specialist for survivors of Gender-Based Violence for the International Justice Mission to provide ongoing psychological counselling to children victims of sexual abuse and their families.

Brigitte works in English, French, and Kinyarwanda.

Solid Minds Press Release

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Nations, a voluntary association of 56 independent and equal countries. Home to 2.5 billion people, the Commonwealth encompasses both advanced economies and developing countries. Rwanda joined the Commonwealth in 2009 as the 54th member state and proudly hosted the 2022 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
