This convening aims to foster spaces where partners can centralise, highlight and prioritise an African-centred approach to addressing the wellness needs of students and their respective institutions as a whole. Through these spaces, partners will be invited to share their knowledge and expertise, create a wellness resource network and inspire each other as we shape the future of mental health support on the continent. Solid Minds will support the facilitation of discussions that will address the wellness priorities that our partners have been sharing with us over the past two years and engage with them in the quest for lasting solutions.
We will also be intentionally dedicated to a focus on how to support students with refugee status/experience, students with disabilities and students transitioning into the working world.
