Chris Otera
Chris is a passionate Human Resources Practitioner with close to 20 years of experience in Human Resources Management and Practice and a proven track record in driving the success of organizations through talent acquisition and development. Chris holds a Master’s Degree (Kenyatta University), Bachelor’s Degree (Kenyatta University) and Higher Diploma (Brentwood University) all in Human Resources Management. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Leadership and organizational change.
Professionally, Chris is a senior member of the institute of Human Resources Management Kenya where he previously served as a Governing Council Member (2010-2013). He is also an aspiring member of the Institute of Human Resources Management (Rwanda).
In his work experience, Chris has worked for Africa Rice – CGIAR (Ivory Coast) The Africa Union (ECOSOCC – Zambia, Sierra Leone and Mauritius) Reeds Africa Consult (Kenya) African Development Bank – AfDB (Ivory Coast) Orange Telkom (Kenya) IHS Africa (Nigeria), KCA University and The Nairobi Hospital in Kenya; having served in different senior / management capacities within the Human Resources functions.
Socially, he is a member of Rotary Club for the last 20 years and he has served as the President Rotary Club of Hurlingham (2014/2015)
