Ruth Uwamurera is a skilled and compassionate clinical psychologist, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rwanda, with a background in general nursing. She has received specialized training in the United States and is certified by the SIT Graduate Institute, a program of World Learning, in Conflict Transformation Across Cultures and Peacebuilding in Global Relations. Additionally, she is certified in Leadership, Management, and Governance for Health Systems Strengthening by the Mount Kenya University.

With over 14 years of experience in the healthcare field, Ruth combines her expertise in nursing and psychological care across various public and privates hospitals. She specializes in individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Ruth has extensive experience supporting couples facing primary and secondary infertility, providing pre- and post-surgical psychological care, and offering support to clients with chronic illnesses. She also accompanies patients and their families during palliative care and assists families through the mourning process, helping them navigate grief and loss.

Ruth’s clinical expertise extends to working with adolescents and adults dealing with antisocial personality disorder, depression, hysteria, identity issues, and substance abuse. She also supports regularly in national commemoration events of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, offering crisis management and PTSD care for survivors.

At Solid Minds, Ruth serves as a clinical psychologist and referrals manager. She is conducting individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions and coordinates client referrals with both internal and external clinicians, ensuring a high standard of care through her attentive and empathetic approach.
