Brigitte is a professional therapist with extensive years of experience. She is trained in a variety of clinical techniques, including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). She is Licensed in Social Sciences, she is a Certified Expert in Psychotraumatology, and she is currently working on her Masters in Art of Counselling Psychology.
Brigitte does individual, couples, family, and group counselling. She establishes a warm environment that helps her clients to come up with skills and strategies to cope with stress, anxiety, trauma, and other life stressors.
Brigitte has worked with local and international NGOs specifically focused on children, adolescents, and women’s empowerment work as a behavior change facilitator. She has worked in refugee camps to provide emotional support to women and children victims of different types of violence. Brigitte has worked with prisons to help detainees in dealing with different stressors as well as empowering them to live positively with HIV/AIDs. She has also served as a client care specialist for survivors of Gender-Based Violence for the International Justice Mission to provide ongoing psychological counselling to children that are victims of sexual abuse and their families.
