Mercy Njeri
Occupational Therapist
Mercy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Presbyterian University of East Africa. She is a dedicated and compassionate occupational therapist with experience in pediatric, mental health, and developmental care settings. Mercy works with both children and adults, providing individualized, client-centered, and evidence-based interventions that promote functional independence and meaningful participation in daily life.
Extraordinary Experiences
Currently, Mercy serves as an Occupational Therapist at Solid Minds Counselling Clinic, where she provides holistic therapy to both children and adults with developmental, physical, and mental health needs. She conducts comprehensive assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and implements evidence-based interventions aimed at enhancing independence in daily activities, school, work, and community participation. Mercy is passionate about empowering her clients to build functional skills, confidence, and resilience.
From March to August 2025, Mercy practiced as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Dynamic Occupational Therapy Limited. During this period, she delivered play-based and sensory-informed interventions for children with diverse developmental challenges.
She was skilled in assessing fine motor, gross motor, and sensory processing difficulties, designing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating closely with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to promote school readiness and holistic development.
In November 2024, Mercy volunteered at Embu Level Five Hospital in the pediatric therapy units, where she supported children with physical and developmental challenges. She facilitated therapeutic activities aimed at improving independence, social participation, and functional performance within the hospital setting.
