Shakur is a Speech & Language Therapist with a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy from Makerere University. He is passionate and committed to evidence-based, culturally responsive practice and supporting clients and families through clear, practical, and results-oriented interventions.
He has previously participated and supported in implementation of Voice and swallowing rehabilitation for Post-laryngectomees in the Uganda Cancer Institute.
His professional experience and clinical background spans working with Early childhood development and related communication disorders, as well as voice and swallowing rehabilitation in Kenya and Uganda.
Beyond direct therapy, he is passionate about research, innovation and accessibility through actively developing and exploring digital tools to enhance assessment and intervention aiming to expand access to quality speech and language services.
