Alexandre Cohen
Alexandre is a Clinical Psychologist from Belgium. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium, as well as a certificate in Mental Health in social context from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. He’s specialized in talk therapy with a systemic approach, for adults and adolescents in an individual or group setting. He specializes in trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and migration but also works with people experiencing depression, insomnia, and anxiety, among others. He conducts training on trauma, PTSD, and migration’s crisis.

Alexandre has worked in mental health for more than ten years. After his studies, he worked as a psychologist in a mobile team for two years in Senegal. He worked with the child protection service, the psychiatric service of the regional hospital, the State Prison, and with children living on the street. He initiated a community mental health project with traditional practitioners. In Belgium, he has worked with clients with psychosis and addictions. Most recently, Alexandre worked in a specialized service for exiled people and migrants. Alexandre offers flexible support at one’s own pace, based on a global approach seeing a person in his/her body, with his/her story as well as that of the family, and culture.
